We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

Senior Architect

Skills and experience required:
• fully qualified Part III architect with at least fifteen years’ professional experience
• significant team leadership experience at all stages from concept to completion
• substantial UK experience in the detail design, delivery and completion of commercial buildings to the highest standards of quality
• demonstrable expertise in complex façade design including stone detailing
• excellent design skills, alongside excellent graphic, verbal and written communication
• proven track record in dealing effectively with clients and project stakeholders with the ability to build and maintain key client relationships
• fluency in Revit is essential, while experience with Rhino will be an advantage

Communications and Marketing Manager

Main responsibilities
• developing project narratives and visuals in tandem with identifying and building upon the practice’s core strengths and values
• helping grow the profiles of the firm and the directors within the industry and further afield
• creating and publicising marketing and public relations material, and implementing an effective awards strategy
• writing copy for promotional literature, researching and preparing material for public speaking engagements, and coordinating the production of regular marketing communications
• assisting the directors with the delivery of speculative bid documents
• liaising extensively with the media, clients and industry professionals
• maintaining and developing a library of marketing materials in support of business development activities

Key skills and experience required
• three plus years’ relevant experience in a communications or marketing role, ideally within the architectural industry
• excellent copywriting and editing skills
• an excellent understanding of graphic design and an advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• an understanding and appreciation of the architecture, design and the urban sector

Communications and Graphics Assistant

Main responsibilities:
• design and production of communication and marketing materials
• design and production of competition and speculative bid submissions
• enabling successful communication of our company identity
• coordination of in-house graphic reference materials and standards
• maintaining the image database and website
• assisting architectural teams with graphic and diagrammatic tasks
• translating technical drawings into clear, communicative and eye-catching products
• liaising with printers and contractors as required
• photographing architectural models and the working studio environment
• administrative support to the Communications and Marketing Manager

Key skills and experience required:
• Expert user of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Suite and PowerPoint
• great aptitude and enthusiasm for graphic layout and typography, in both digital and print channels
• excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with senior management as well as with external collaborators and contractors
• able to show a wide range of ideas from concept to delivery in an exciting and well-presented portfolio
• a demonstrable interest in the built environment
• experience within the architectural industry will be a distinct advantage
• experience of video editing, web design, 3D software and OpenAsset will be an advantage

Architect / Architectural Assistant (Part II)

Skills and experience required:
• a minimum of two years professional work experience
• expert knowledge of Revit
• excellent design and graphic communication skills
• experience of Rhino will be an advantage

Architectural Assistants (Part I)

DSDHA are accepting applications for Part I placements commencing autumn 2019. Candidates should have excellent 2D/3D computer and model making skills, an enthusiasm for joining a dynamic and creative studio, and an interest on working on a diverse range of projects and sectors.
