Designing Schools Lecture
An online lecture by Deborah Saunt given to form part of the Urban Design London's Online Training Catalogue.
In this lecture, Deborah lectures on the key strategies and methodologies deployed by DSDHA in our design approach on a range of recent projects.
The lecture starts with an examination of the importance of networks, collaboration and sustainability in design approaches. It goes on to look at dealing with each project at a micro and macro scale, addressing issues of context, locality and infrastructure. Deborah then discussed the important role that consultation plays in the development of designs, the techniques the practice uses to do so, and the critical nature of identity and branding in the development and management of schools.
